Zapier Integration

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an automation platform that connects your apps and services. With SmarterForm's Zapier integration, you can automatically send form submissions to thousands of apps without writing any code.

Popular use cases

• Email notifications: Send form submissions to Gmail, Outlook, or any email service
• Team collaboration: Post new submissions to Slack or Microsoft Teams
• CRM updates: Add leads to Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive
• Spreadsheets: Automatically add rows to Google Sheets or Excel
• Project management: Create tasks in Asana, Trello, or Monday.com

Setting up Zapier

   Upgrade to Pro

   Make sure you have an active Pro subscription. Visit /pricing to upgrade.

   Connect your Zapier account

   In the Form Builder, go to Settings → Integrations → Zapier. Click Connect to Zapier.

   Create a Zap

   You'll be redirected to Zapier. Create a new Zap with SmarterForm as the trigger app. Choose "New Form Submission" as the trigger event.

   Select your form

   Choose which form you want to connect. You can create multiple Zaps for different forms.

   Configure your action

   Choose the app you want to send data to (e.g., Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets) and configure how the data should be formatted.

   Test and activate

   Test your Zap to make sure it's working correctly, then turn it on. Your form submissions will now automatically trigger your Zap.

Available data fields

When a form is submitted, the following data is available in your Zap:

• Form name and ID
• Submission ID and timestamp
• All question responses (mapped by question label)
• Respondent metadata (if available)

Troubleshooting

Zap not triggering

• Verify your Pro subscription is active
• Check that your Zap is turned on in Zapier
• Ensure the correct form is selected in your Zap settings
• Test with a new form submission
